Amazon Prime Video - Netflix originals are viewable in any country -- why not Amazon originals?
Amazon is stingy as all *** with their customers. I was shocked when I looked into buying a Kindle and found out that they sell it WITHOUT a charging cable because "customers probably already have the right cable lying around the house!" -- a big fat lie, and a cheap way to penny pinch your customer.
Amazon found another way to needlessly screw their customers -- Amazon prime original TV shows, those should be available wherever you are in the world, shouldn't they? Netflix does this with almost all of their original content. But nope, not Amazon! I don't know why they choose to withhold, but withhold they do.
Even though I
live in Japan, and Amazon claims to me that I can easily switch over to a Japanese account, none of the benefits I have paid for transfer over when switching countries. I don't have prime shipping in Japan, even though that's something I paid for in America. I don't have access to Prime Video in Japan, even though that's also something that I paid for.
And now I'll never be able to enjoy the drama and intrigue of watching The Bachelor Japan -- even though I am IN JAPAN. Amazon, take a page from Netflix's book and stop playing these terrible games with me.
Reason of review: Access/ activation issues.
